Individual Therapy
I’ve spent the better part of the past decade providing compassionate care for trauma survivors.
Service Description
Hello! I’m a doctoral-level clinical social worker, with 10 years of experience as a trauma therapist. I’ve spent the better part of the past decade providing compassionate care for people who have experienced combat or sexual trauma. I completed my master’s degree at University of South Florida, and my doctorate at University of Southern California. I’m adept at helping you to learn the skills that you need to navigate daily life. My approach is largely trauma- and mindfulness-informed. I’ve spent 25 years practicing mindfulness meditation, and 10 years teaching Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy. This greatly influences the way that I approach practice. I also have a decade of experience in Cognitive Processing Therapy, for trauma, and a host of other skills such as anger management, and various types of coping skills. We can also focus on co-dependency, and ways that this may have affected your life. My goal as a therapist is to provide a space where you will comfortable enough to determine what you need, but while you also learn how to do the work to grow. I really want you to learn the skills that you need so that you will be able to confidently take on life on your own. The skills that you learn, and the time that takes, will be determined by the type of treatment we decide on, together. And I look forward to helping you grow!
